Earth Day, 22 April 2023
This year's Earth Day theme is "Invest In Our Planet". No doubt that the economic incentive is the way that Homo sapiens can be influenced to act in mass, and if global investment helps us reduce dumping toxic waste into the air, more power to the economic imperative. I still believe that old Chinese proverb that "a journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step", so individual action is as relevant as ever. Considering that this is our first Earth Day we share the planet with more than 8,000,000,000 human inhabitants, individual action is more critical than ever. Maybe it's a good day to go in the garden or local park and plant a tree.
